Cody's is a true boat in that I believe it will trim level with a gunner in gunning position (laying down flat). My gunning boxes/coffins will float a lot of weight but will trim bow down with a gunner if they are not sitting on marsh, mud or musselbank.
I think of Cody's as a Pond Box and mine as a Gunning Coffin/Coffin Box.
Of course, you could always build one of each - since you'll be saving all that time and money on the Nova Scotia Duck Tub you won't be building....
