Brad - Had great luck with my 15hp. Fuel injection is nice. Quiet and starts great. Performance is good. 4 strokers are just a bit heavy for a smaller outboard. I do have to drive 45 minutes to get it serviced though. Pat

I ran a Nissan 18 hp 2-stroke for over 10 years and never had a problem with it. It was one great motor.

I have 3, 25 & 3.5 2-strokes both about 15 years old & a newer 9.9 4-stroke kicker for my Lund. I like them a lot but the newer 4-stroke's mounting bracket seemed cheapened up lot from the older 2 strokes. Maybe the 9.9s where always that way but since it weighs almost the same as the 25, I expected an equivalent heavy bracket.

I don't know if we have a good service shop in the area I've done my own work. Parts are easily available on line. I've rebuild carbs, changed pumps, added electric start to the 25. The 2-stks are good motors! I don't have enough hours on the 4 to have done more than change oil.

I've run a Nissan 25 for many years. Other then the normal maintenance the only problem I've had was a broken rewind. Order a new one, 4 machine screw later and good as new.

I have a 2003 Nissan 40hp, 3 cylinder, 2-stroke with oil injection. It is probably the best outboard I have ever owned. My boat is in the water from the spring thaw until the winter freeze and it has been very dependable! Since the day it was new, only synthetic fluids have been used in it, every 2-3 years the water pump impeller is replaced (preventive maintenance), and I put a new set of plugs in it before duck season every fall.

Hey Kevin, when you have a cute kid holding a duck in that picture, it's tough to look at the motor. Not only that I had no idea that waders were made for kids. Guess I never paid attention to it before. I enjoyed that picture.
