Wondering if anybody on this forum hunts ducks in Nova Scotia. We are going to spend Christmas with family. I'm thinking it
would be an awesome opportunity to do some sea duck hunting :)

Since I don't know anybody who hunts there I have been scouring the net for a guide but only had one reply saying they don't
guide in our area "Havre Boucher, NS"

one of the only areas where a sink box is still legal.- i have always thought that would be an real interesting experience -

Have you checked with their game department for quides in the area?

from what i can see- the see duck hunting seems to be on the east coast

Thanks Rick,

I have, I did manage to find a few but you are correct most are on the east side. Which is fine only 2.5 hours from us roughly. Now if I can find a guide that doesn't want US dollars, I'll be all set!

I hate when Canadian companies do that to Canadian customs, don't freak'n charge me another countries currency!

I hunted with Brian Mason, Goldeneye Outfitters, and was super pleased with the experience. I hunted seaducks out of his sinkbox. He is about an hour east of Halifax on the coast.

Good luck.

Greg,

I don't know if he still guides, or if he got his business off the ground and going but we hunted with Philip Finck back in 2008 when he was contemplating whether to become a guide. It was sea duck hunting out of a sink box. Heckuvan experience and I had an outstanding time with him. I don't know if he would be anywhere near where you are going to be. I know he used to be here on Duckboats but I don't know if he still pops in from time to time.
