TWO DAYS!!!!

In two days I will be on a flight, heading to WA State for NINE DAYS of upland hunting!!! WOOOOOHHOOOOOOOO

I have never really hunted upland before, unless you count the quick chasing of a pheasant in Nova Scotia in my Sponge Bob Square Pants jammies. And sadly it got away. Sooooooooo, I am going to be introduced to the world of upland hunting chasing quail, huns, chukar, grouse, pheasant, and since both snipe and ducks are in any ducks or snipe we might come across they are fair game as well!

The weather guessers are saying that for the most part it's going to be quite purdy out there too.

I can't wait! It's like I'm a kid waiting for Christmas!

Wish me luck cuz this flat lander is going to need it traversing the mountains and hills out there!

Have a ball Dani. If all you have to do is keep up with an old fart you should be fine. Wait a minute, you've hunted upland before - remember Perdez?

I'm jealous!!
Hope you've been walking alot to get in shape, cause you're gonna do a pile of walking.
Have fun and take lots of pics. Tell Steve (I assume you're hunting with him) I said hi.

Have a great time. I hope you nearly step on a pheasant, it lets you know you're alive.

Love upland! Any chance for fur as well (rabbits)? or is it just feathers? Rabbits are even more challenging to shoot - in my humble opinion...

but more importantly will you be wearing the Sponge Bob hunting outfit? Have a great trip dont forget the pictures!

Have fun Dani
You will love the great state of Washington, I promise. I wish you a great hunt. Especially going to the sunny side of the state. Forcast is for beautiful weather next week. Don't forget to take lots of pics.

Thanks y'all! And I will definitely pass along y'alls well wishes to Steve.

Yes Pete, I do remember the perdiz quite well. I suppose I ought to have said North American upland hunting. Isn't that kinda funny? I've hunted S. America upland more than N. America upland. Heck, I've still not shot a north american widgeon or killed a plumed out north american pintail. But I have shot widgeon and pintail in S. America.

Anthony, I will likely just hunt birds. I do love rabbit, but I'm not so keen on cleaning them hhahaha birds are easier

Kris.....talk to Steve :)

Mike...a girl does need something to sleep in...

Gary...I'm looking forward to it. I do love Washington. It's a gorgeous place. I had hoped that we might be able to swing by your way, to say hi and have a beer if nothing more but Steve said he hasn't been able to make contact with you and figured you were, or would be, off in the wilds of Montana chasing Swans or something. Hope you have a great season.

Good luck Dani! Have a great time and we'll be waiting for the story and pictures.

And DEFINITELY going to be plenty of pictures and stories to tell....that I do not doubt....

Tom-

I'm not sure we'll head that direction this trip. But "who knows". I really enjoyed Toby's though....
