Oil-Gas price debate stepping up on the Hill

I believe OIL just hit 140 a barrel this afternoon.The market took a big hit,and our,"do nothing for the Country" congress,is flying off on July forty vacation.No sweat,they'll be back late afternoon,July 15th,so they can pack up for the big summer break in August.No problem with their gas,they all have a Gov Visa card.ELITIST IS MARVELOUS.
 
I also think a big part of the price is because the dollar is in the tank. When a dollar is worth less...it takes more of them to buy the same thing. I just wish that lumber had the value of oil so I could afford the gas it is taking me to deliver it. I also worry that the Government is looking at it. Last time they "looked" at it...gas went up 40 cents a gallon.

I have been following this issue. Most of the media. " the talking heads" don't understand the issue but parrot the supply and demand is the cause.

Ever since the Enron loophole was put in, supply and demand have not worked as it should.
Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman either have there head in the sand, grossly incompetent, or payed big bucks by lobbies. You decide.

It's not just oil but almost every commodity

Congress knows whats going on. It's in there best interest to do nothing until people put there feet in the fire. Lobbyist give them more money than we will ever.
