I made one just like that for Lou Tisch. I saw it in an old Conneticut decoys book first though. No idea.

Did you get a chance to look at those scoters I sent you yet?

Mike

or should just those people that have personally touched the specific decoy that you are showing off respond to your questions?

For the record the (3) piece laminated Crowell Black Bellied Plover appears in at least (5) of the reference items that I looked through to answer the question and not just the O'brien catalog...my apologies for ruining your post for having known the bird even if I had never owned the bird...

We'll let someone else play your little game for any additional "who made it.." photographs as you seem more interested in bragging about the ownership than you do about seeing if anyone else knows the bird, by whatever means.

Cheers, I believe you say....

Steve

Steve- I guess i do not know why your upset- is it because i knew that you took the info about these birds from a catalog- or that i had the means to buy the birds? anyway- i always liked taking pictures of the decoys i have owned back to there enviroment- thats all- alot of people see decoys in catalogs- or at auction few see them in the manner in which they were made to be used-its like a classic gun being shot again at game- or of a great design of a boat put back on the water- thats as complex as it gets!

DLHO- i do not need to brag about anything i have owned- just sharing pics- and I guess tht to is not apprectited here.

I was going to guess that Donald but only because the attachment was titled boy. Otherwise I would not have known. Nice pic

good guess- they had the biggest keels of and new england decoy i have ever seen- it was 7" deep- like a long lead knife- Rand Dow bought these in in the 1940s- and hunted them for years-

Take care Donald
