Old WI Marsh skiff

Bill,

Neat old skiff. I've seen something like that before but can't remember where. I'm thinking it was in some old press about a hunt club on Muskego Lake. I like the lines.

Bill,
that boat is very nice. A real old time set of lines for sure. I am thinking about who would have owned such a rig and the days it would have been out.
As they say, if only it could talk.

Hey pete, how was the shoot? the coaming looks similar to the pecor fox, but that it, does have neat lines and craftsmanship is apparently very nice. Have you ever seen a Koshkonong skiff? I haven't so I was curious.

Hi Bill,

A couple years ago the local museum had an exhibition on the duck hunting tradition on Koshkonong. There were 3-4 local skiffs there and that may have been where I saw it though for some reason I'm thinking either Muskego or around poygan/Butte des Mortes. I just can't remember and of course I didn't take any pictures. Mike Trudel might recognize the maker as he gets around to many more old skiffs than I do.

The shoot was fun. Mostly for fun but high gun got a case of RST and since most didn't keep score or whatever, I took it home :) One of the guys in the squad just ahead of us was shooting a Holland and Holland Royal that looked new and was the first I have ever seen in person. A lot of other real nice pieces too. A real relaxing day.

Bill, Pete and I were the "piker's" in this crowd. Never saw so many London best grades, and even though we were probably the only true waterfowlers in this upland crowd, we held our own in the shooting...especially on incomers, because after all, we are decoyers!
