Just wondering if someone can shed some light on field decoys........... I am in the market and before I make a final choice I would like some views.
Thanks

I have some Green Head Gear fullbodies that work well. If I was to get more mallard field decoys, I would get more GHG, but the flocked head ones from Mac's Prairie Wings. I haven't tried their shells though.

Without doubt GHG. I've got 3.5 dozen and will slowly accumulate another 2-3 dozen. They are easy to setup, move well and look fantastic. Use slotted decoy bags. 6-slot bags work best, imo. We do a lot of field hunting for ducks and these are the ticket.

I have 8 DOz Avery GHG and Love them. The flocked heads are not needed in my opinion.

But in all honesty... I have killed more mallards in the field over hot buys with the keels cut off. They are light, cheap, easy to pick up and put out. If you hve any canadas in the area put out 4-6 of those too.
