A big thanks to everyone who volunteered at this years annual Oregon Waterfowl Festival. It took place this last weekend and was a great success. There was alot of information to absorb this year with all the different vendors, seminars, and great people just wanting to talk waterfowl.

I had a great time, picked up a couple new duck calls to scare the ducks with this season and a couple of new hunting buddies.

Thanks again to everyone involved and hope that we all can volunteer some time next year to not only continue the event but also make it even better.

brian were you involved in the show or just an atendee i thought show was kind of a lil on the down side a few good deal too be had from sportsmans where house and lots of cool calls but id like too try too help make it better next year but it was a chance too stare at a mud moter and get too talk ducks w like minded folks
 
Hey Scott. I got involved when I heard that they might not have it this year beacause of lack of support and volunteers. I have to agree that it wasn't where it was last year. I have to imagine that was because they didn't have as muach help this year in organizing the event. I think that if some of us who are local can get invoved early on, we can make this a great event next year.

I entered two dekes, a hooded merganser that went over like a fart in church, and a sleeper redhead, that took 2nd place. I don't have a single picture of either. I'm hoping the merganser doesn't come back home, as I asked them to try to sell if for me (with them getting a cut, obviously) at the auction Sunday, but I don't know if it sold. If it does migrate home to me, I'll post up a pic.
