I went out with anorther guy on our lease, yesterday. We chose our shots carefully and limited them to decoying birds only. We were still finished in 30 minutes with 9 teal and one widgeon.

This morning I took the kids out. It was perfect kid weather! 59 degrees, calm winds and a thin ground fog.
No worries obout cold feet or numb fingers.
We hunted out of the blind we built and painted in the driveway last year.
It is one of two above gound blinds on the lease.

Liz and Dave helped put out decoys and settled into the blind. The fog kept down the excess noise.

Angel-dog did a nice job picking up 5 teal and one specklebelly.

They decided that they should race Daddy in a decoy pickup race... they won.
Really it wan't fair. I was pulling up the weights and they were snagging them and tossing them into the sled, thus scoring points.

the ponds are coverd in hundreds-of-thousands of spider webs. These were on some of the brush we cut for blind camo.

Eric, Thanks again for the waders. Liz outgrew hers, and Dave clamied them as his sole property.
Thomas' waders will fit Lizzie fo the next two seasons.
It's nice to be able to bring both on a hunt where waders are required.

That's awesome, time and fun with the kids. Great pictures too. This wait is killing me! 17 MORE days.... Run'em south.

Thomas and I just saw your pics and he said "COOL! Looks like they have some good hunting up there." Glad the waders are working out so well. With two more years on them by Liz they might actually start to show wear. Not many Youth waders see that much action I bet. Good for the both of us.

Eric

P.s. Thomas wants to know if you have a lot of teal in Tx.

Pablo,

Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing. When Dave gets to big for his waders and your ready to sale them please let me know. I bet with the help of this site we could acutally wear out a pair of kids waders.

My best,

Don

I can't get over how big the kids are now. seems it was only yesterday that they were born. You have a couple of duck hunters to enjou a blind with now, take advantage of it as often as you can.

Paul,
Thanks for sharing those moments in the blind with us. You can bet those two young uns will remember those hunts with you for a LONG time. Oh, and I bet you do too.

Thomas, we have LOADS of teal in Texas!
We will still have some blue wing teal in late January.
You and your dad are invited to come hunt them any time you want.
