Parts for Old Outboards

A friend needs parts for a '73 Johnson 40hp.
I know its been posted a hundred times, but I cant find a link to the places that sell old outboard parts.
Can someone post that up for me?

Try http://www.theoutboardwizard.com/ I have been using him for years. Ask for Ralph or Richie and tell him I sent you. They have a ton of old and old new stock OMC parts.

OLD!? Why most of my fleet is older than that. Seriously though Twin City Outboards gets my nod, I have dealt with them for years. BTW What parts do you need? Never know what may be in my mess.

Not sure of the exact name, he needs the shaft that runs inside the exhaust housing down to the shifter on the lower unit. For a long shaft.
