If I ever have the inclination to hunt sea ducks. I now know who to look up for the chance.

That vessel is a waterfowling beast of a machine.

Been seeing a lot of mixed thoughts on this out on the World Wide Web. Obviously not a boat for everyone but from a business standpoint and that is what Jeff is doing with it, making a living, it makes complete sense. He went from the ability to hunt 4 guys to 6. Essentially increasing his income by 50%. I know not everyone can fill trips like that but it certainly seems that Jeff can. Plus the added comfort and safety for his clients I?m sure is huge. Only thing I questioned was the single 350HP on the back. Seems like a pair of 175s would have been a better choice. Not only Incase he loses an engine but would make turning in tight areas and setting dekes and picking up downed birds easier. Although the captain obviously dwarfs my boating experience so I?m sure he had a good reason

ITS A beautiful NEW RIG 32 FT ., having hunted WITH JEFF THE GREAT GUIDE hE iS .& CANT GIVE hIM ENOUGH CREDIT WITH hIS knowledge & EXPERIENCE AROUND WATERFOWL HUNTING, ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE. I AM PERSONALTY AGAINST HUNTING WITH A PARTY OF SIX GUY'S ITS TO HARD TO CONTROL WHEN SIX GUYS OPEN UP ON A GROPE OF BIRDS . YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT BUT I WOULD NOT EVEN GO ON A TRIP WITH THAT MANY GUYS IN THE SAME BOAT OR BLIND . UN LESS THE CAPTAIN SAID WE ARE GOING TO TAKE TURNS 2 AT A TIME, THATS IT .OTHERWISE YOU DONT REALLY KNOW WHO SHOT WHAT..JUST MY OPION PAUL

I am with you Paul... I would never go hunting out of that. I want to know what I shoot. I don't like enough people to fill that boat!

I will say the 21 gets a little small when you have 4 guys in it.. a 23 or 25 would be a little more spacious! LOL... but 32??? that is crazy

Actually Eric it's a "two" of a kind duck boat. There's already one here in Maine, Rod Merritt from Eider Pro will be in the second season with his. He too runs a single 350 Suzuki with a 70 gallon tank.

I wonder what that drinks! A buddy has twin Merc 300's on his work boat. Those horses drink about 56 gal an hour at full screw. in 3 1/2 hours you will empty the 170 gal tank... :O

Not sure Phil, I did see it has twin props, weight is approx. 3500lbs and thoughts are should go 45-50 mph, they obviously didn't list the Gallons per Hour....

So far I've had no desire to Sea Duck hunt, but ya never know. Have shot old squaws & scoters a few times and that was enough for me. To each their own.

From the conversation I had with the NY waterfowl biologist. Sea ducks are taking a helluva pounding that they cannot endure, and new regs are needed badly.

Jeff is my friend, and I have enjoyed hunting Sea Ducks with him ONCE. They are stinking easy to hunt, and I don't know anyone, really, who enjoys eating them. I cooked a breast for the dog once and my wife pops into the kitchen and says- "what the heck are you cooking?" To which I explained. Her comments was something like "your not going to cook anymore of those things in my kitchen, right!" Yet I agree with a lot of the comments here. I don't like to hunt with more than 2 or max 3 other guys. And, Sea Ducks are so easy to hunt, and kill. (They are plain out stupid). I think that in itself is the reason they're so popular. Very easy hunts. Obviously, no camo is even needed. I know guys who let a string of decoys drift behind their big, white obnoxious looking fishing boats, and just shoot off the back of their boat. And there has been so much pressure on them as of late, their numbers have to be suffering.
