Pic of Yakima trailer stored in garage

Finally got some time at home this past weekend and went about completing some of the tasks on my "to do" list. Since the place I had this trailer stored for the past month or so was going to need the space back this weekend, and since it was in the 80's, I thought it a perfect time to redo the garage and make some space for the trailer. If you recall, I bought this particular trailer because of the ability to quickly and simply take it a part and store it against a wall in my garage..

I cleared out some space and broke the trailer down inside of 2 minutes (if even that). I laid the trailer up against the wall and put a couple of eye bolts into some studs and placed a bungee around the trailer to hold it up right. Here is the result

Have to say I am quite pleased with the storage. It takes up less space (thickness wise) than my golf bag and does not interfere with any vehicle getting into or out of the garage. I should be able to put it together and have it hitched to the vehicle inside of 2 minutes when it is needed- it is that simple. Just got to figure out a simple floor to put on this when one is needed and I'm all set.

That is impressive. I've always found their stuff to be great, if not a little spendy.

As in very spendy. I would never have purchased if I didn't find it on Craigslist and got it for a heck of a deal. Got to tell you I was a little worried after paying for it and hoping it would actually ship from Utah. Luckily the couple selling it were respectable and their story and all checed out. Dude who sold it was some movie producer so I felt he had a bunch to lose if he didn't come through on his end. I don't think I'll spend a few hundred bucks on an out of State Craigslist purchase again however.

Then to try and register the darn thing. Basically if I were to have done it the "legal" way, I would have had to go to court which wasn't going to be an option for me. Since I had to "build/assemble" the trailer in my garage, I called it a homebuilt and got it registered for significantly less hassle and bucks than the proper way. Thanks to those on this site who made the suggestion.

Mark, Looks good. I also have a space issue and all good ideas catch my eye. I also have a lot of respect for Yakama products, been using them for years. Good stuff is worth it.
