Pics from Jersey Coastal Zone 1/8 and 1/14

Here are some pictures from the last two Saturdays..just me and my dad, Dave Sr., from the coastal zone in Southern Jersey(yes we are a different state from North Jersey). We hunted the open water in the bay. Last Saturday my dad got a Brant and his first drake Pintail. The Pintail decoyed to Broad bill decoys in open water. I discovered my barrell was bent that is why there are no pictures of me from last week...lol. His Pintail was delievered to the taxidermist on Sunday, he couldn't wait to take it..lol. Yesterday, 1/14 he shot his first limit..a bufflehead shoot broke out. He got six butterballs and I got four Buffleheads and a hen Black Duck. The Blackduck decoyed to Broad Bill decoys as well. The last picture is a Brant flyover the season had ended for them during the week..they were lucky..lol. Thanks for looking Dave.

Great shoot beautiful birds i hunt coastal zone in south jersey alot and i cant find a pintail for the life of me and when i do see them they're flying about a mile or two great job though.

Nice Mr. Hughes...

I have never shot a Brant...It would have been tough to not crack a shot at those birds...Unless they are out of season...
