I went to the beach today to take pictures of birds ... to prepare for next season. None of thes birds flay as fast as ringnecks ... but it was still good practice.

Very nice Ron, but it seems the men on the roof have the best view. And the sign on the building… how apropos!! I would imagine the ones marketing the building would love to have this photo.

Great shots of the Thunderbirds Ron! I had the pleasure to be the guest for a full day of the Thunderbirds at Nellis air force base. Shortly after that the whole squadron was killed following their leader into the ground. Was that an air show they were flying? How has the hand healed and are you slowly adapting to the loss functionally and mentally?

Friday was practice day for the Ft lauderdale air and sea show. On Saturday and Sunday you can't move for the crush of people so us and a bunch of other homeschooling families head out on Friday every year. You get to see the show without the crowd.

As far as my fingers...I am doing fine. Since what was left of my shredded ring finger was was pulled together and stiched. I have had to wait for skin to grow to close up the finger. It is a slow process. It will be 5 weeks on Tuesday and it is not closed yet .... but it is closing! When I look at my hand I think "Wow!... look how much I got to keep." I am mostly a "glass half full" kind of person. With an open wound there are a lot of things I can't do so I have been learning new lessons in patience.

Monday I am mailing the gun to Stoeger to be fitted for a new set of 12 gauge tubes. I can't wait to hit the range and break some clays.

Great news on the hand and the fingers Ron. I think we can all learn lessons from you Ron, and not just from the incident.

Ron, great pics and glad the hand is doing well. I get an airshow once or twice a week close to the lumber yard..the Warthogs that are stationed in Battle Creek make a pass and I swear they zip up and down the toll road practicing their aiming on fleeing Taliban. They do some neat airobatics. I think those Warthogs are the coolest plane in our arseneal.

Ron I really like the picture of the C-130 'sky pig' They are pretty cool....yayaya they are just transport planes and what not, but still cool. I'm glad to hear that your hand is healing. Take care!!

Ron,great pics of the Thunderbirds.I have worked them on many occasions, going way back to when they were flying
F-100's.Brings back a few funny stories.Dani,if you think that C130 is only a transport plane, you should see it in action as a GUNSHIP.
Sounds like it won't be long before your fingers are healed and you can shoot again.Hang in there.
