Picture Tuesday a tad early........It's HOT!

88 degrees here today. The turkeys were wearing canteens around their necks. These two jakes crossed in front of the ATV on my way to the pond.


The lower food plot was so green I could hear it growing today in the warm sun.


I even managed to catch Judy as she was heading back out after lunch in her school bus.


Boo-Boo was there and followed me all around the pond as I checked out how the weed killer worked that I put in part of the pond on sunday. Boo-Boo Bass has become quite the pet and worm-begger in the past year or so. The pond water has really cleared up now that the ducks and geese have left. I have a hose from our well running 24/7 to keep the water temp down and the pond topped off and running into the second pond below the big one.


At dinner this evening I looked out the kitchen window and saw this lone hen being courted by a big Tom (who is missing two center tail feathers I see) and four jakes. She must think she's in 7th heaven what with all that attention? Sorry for the lousy photo, but I took the picture through the kitchen window.

Dave- sure looks pretty out there. hope that y'all are stayin' kind of wet. we haven't had rain in a long time and the temps have been high like out there and now there are fires all over the place. several thousand acres burning in several different counties each. Then the GA fire (some 160 sq miles) that has now jumped the St.Marys river aka FL/GA border into FL a bit to the northwest of here. Pray that us southern states get some rain.

Good lookin' turkeys and I do love seein' pics of Boo-Boo Bass. Gotta love a pet bass following you around Take care

What a beautiful place you live. But I am sure that you know that. Thanks for sharing the experience. Actually, very inspiring. Makes me want to save money. I think that I will show your photos to Betsy (my wife)...we have always wanted a place with the natural beauty that you have.
