Good photo's, but my goodness every Decoy Contest Judge would tell ya. "Tail UP cuz it's a Puddler that Pintail is Wrong!." HA
 
Hi Vince - After looking at dozens of images of pintails on the water, almost all have their tails up. The few that had their tails touching the water, were about to tip up to feed which is what this guy was doing between shots - who knew !

Mr. Sargeant - Observation is a wonderful thing isn't it? I was never much of a believer of the up or down tail business we have been force fed for years concerning hunting decoys. One way or another all waterfowl submerse their tail. If a carver or maker chooses to show that in their work how is that wrong? Mother Nature always wins.
