I have a 25hp 2 stroke yamaha, I think it's a '97, the ID tag is missing from the side but the boat and trailer are both '97. I took the boat out Friday night and it was pissing fine. Brought it home flushed with fresh water and still worked fine. I took it out this morning for a few hours and ran fine but when I went to flush it out at home I noticed it wasn't pissing and after a minute just a little steam came out so I shut it down. I had my younger brother stop by and take a look at it. He is a jet ski mechanic but works on outboards some times. He thinks its probably the impeller. He thinks this because there wasn't much, if any, water coming from the hub and also because of the steam that started coming from the pisser. I guess if steam is getting through then it's probably not plugged. And if there is no water coming out of the hub then the impeller is probably not working. Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated. I guess I'll probably order a water pump repair kit from the yamaha shop tomorrow. Thanks Luke
