Well, we made it through our 18th and final flood of 2008 at Locust Grove without our new pit blind popping out of the ground. Thanks for the comments from all who presented ideas on how to anchor it. In the end, 4 trailer anchors, chain and boomers were used. I think dirt on the flange helped as well.

Nude blind out of fiberglass- 1st one out of the mold.
In the hole, leveled and chained into place.
Double checking door length. Notice that the top was coated with gel and sand.

I was pretty nervous when that last flood caught us with our pants down. We had planned to pump it full at the end of ducks season and everyone was gone for Xmas when the last one came!
