Planing Decking Composite??

Anyone ever done it? Have some decking composite 2x4's that I will be using for keels but want them thinner.

You can rip them in the table saw, but I would not use a planner or band saw. The plastic will melt and stick to the blades. Tried running wood through after to clean the bandsaw blade, but it did not clean up, probably because the blade is narrower than the kerf?

Tried the tablesaw but leaves an unevevn line on the ripped side. While not too bad it is not desired. I have cut some of this stuff on the bandsaw and haven't had any problems with it gumming up. I don't really foresee any problems with it gumming up a planner but wanted to ask before I messed up a borrowed planer.
Thanks for the replies so far.

If you are using Trex you will have no problem.........I do it all the time. Bandsaw and planer. If it's other than Trex and all plastic then you can have problems.

I have been using the Azek, all plastic, and have loaded up my bandsaw blade and by freestanding belt sander. So far have had no issues with the router or table saw, but would hate to mess up my planer. I know the old/original version of Trex was sawdust and plastic binder, it also swelled and cracked overtime. I suspect it has been improved.
