Woke up to the radar showing one last squall line headed our way and the weather stations indicating 20 mph North winds with gusts to 29.
Rolled over and went back to sleep.
Might try to get out this afternoon.
If not, I plan to take off Wednesday.

As of 8:00 am central this morning, ~80% of the country is below freezing!
We are hanging on at 43, dont think it will get any warmer today.

Pussy :).

I played it safe this morning too - mostly safe from doing a bunch of work to not shoot anything. We have some c-c-c-c-cold coming up and I'm waiting for that.

43 and 20 mph winds... I would take that right now. -17 right now, we might get above 0 today. :) But the winds have finally died down.
Nobody better blame the north for keeping the ducks, I'm pretty sure they should be headed south. Right past Arkansas from what the weather looks like.

Tod,

I have some time off coming up. Lets hunt!

Mike

That sounds good Mike, real good, especially if you have some ducks hid somewhere :).

When is the semester end for ya and when does it start again?

Up to a balmy 3 degrees here in central KS. Today may be the exception this week where I actually I might prefer the fact that I'm forced to stay in and write papers over duck hunting. I did see a guy pulling his boat towards the river this morning on my way in. That's some tough hunting!

Writing papers, just think of the torture... I'm grading papers :(.

This the kind of weather pattern that makes for a fantastic season on the Gulf Coast: Extreme cold freezing up everything north of us, even if it stayes relatively warm here.

Been called worse by better people..... :)

With everything freezing up north of us, by mid-week, we should be covered up with birds. I'll get out Wednesday.

Looks like Maine was one the warmer/calmer spots yesterday. Took out some guys from Texas, enjoyed a nice gray day on the Atlantic.

Fog got us today. Oh well, I'll get out Wednesday or thursday......
