Post 1 Season Finale - Long

Day 1, Finds me alone on my favorite River The PendOreille. I had my camper so I would stay for the finale until my old body had enough. At age 56 my old body is starting to show the effects of 40 plus years waterfowling.
I thought that would never happen. A few years back I was called Turbo, from one of my friends, and a blurr from Brad Forgay. Today I ach every where. It was 105 day season and I worked hard trying to do my best at
something I dearly love. Sitting in the marsh with my best friend (River). Even she was showing some wear from the long tough season. It makes me sad to put the gear away for another year. I hope all my friends on this
site had some great memories also.

Pic. 1 is of my set that first morning

Pic. 2 These two pintails gave me a shot, but was looking through the lens instead of the gun.

Gary, You are one hell of a photographer.
I ain't a slouch with photos,
but really truly, I'd hang any of these above the mantle as art.

River did great and looks like you lived life
and did what you do

rather than reading about it in some glossy magazine

most of all

you did it with class
art
and skill

Some of the most stunning images that i have seen in a very long time. You sir are both blessed with talent in photography and some of the greatest duck hunting scenery ever. I am truly envious . Please continue sharing your photos. What breed is your hunting dog, i have never seen this type before. Thanks Chris

Eddie, I believe that Garys shotgun is a 20 ga Dehaan S2. They are nice shotguns, I have one along with the old 12 Ga o/u Model u2. Before they were marketed under DeHaan, they were Huglu (Turkish made, but not for the european market, they were of tighter specs). Both guns have been super.
