As some of you may remember a while back I asked for advice concerning my wife's ( ok .OUR )little foo-foo dog.
She was starting to have so difficulty walking and holding her head still. We put her on steriods and it seemed to clear everything up for a while.
About 3 weeks later the symtoms returned , Immeadiatly back to the Vet ( who I have known for probably 20 years and consider a good friend) back on the steriods, not working this time, getting progressivly worse.(this is after only 3 days after symtoms started showing back up) Now she can barely walk, heads twisting to the side, and you can tell SHE'S PISSED cause she can't figure out whats happening to her. Well yesterday the wife takes her to Memphis to a specialist. My buddy the vet gets us an appointment for as soon as she can get there as this place is usually kinda tough to get a rush appointment.
After talking with the specialist we had to make the decision that was best for Maggie, The hardest one I've had to do in a long time..............
So , last night, she was wrapped in her favorite blanket, arm wrapped around her" blue buddy "(some stange dr.suess looking creature) and placed under a cedar tree that for some weird reason she liked to sniff around way too much!!
rest easy punk'in , you'll be greatly missed.

Jeff,y'all are remembered in my prayers. All the little friends are special, and very hard to loose. My deepest sympathy

Sorry to hear that.

Hope the two of you are doing okay; you made the right decision to end the suffering for the dog's sake. I know it's tough, but it will get better.

We'll keep you in our thoughts.

It's hard Jeff, My and my wifes thoughts are with you. You miss them for a long time.

Take care

Jeff, We just went through that too and are sorry to hear about your loss. They are family. "Good dogs go to heaven"

I send you and your family my sympathy Jeff. I know you all made the right decision, especially going to the specialist and getting as informed as possible about what was going on. The greatest gift we can give them is making the decision to relieve their pain. I'm sorry.

Brian
