Pulling out of the driveway to go pheasant hunting this morning and see that the side of my house that faces the street has been covered with spray painted graffiti. Brand new home...we just closed and moved in last week. They got one of the neighbors' driveway, also. Quiet neighborhood in a small Minnesota town. Called the cops so I would have a report if I decide to file a claim with my homeowner's insurance but probably not worth the trouble. The cop recommended Goofoff to remove the spray paint. In fact, he had an opened can that he gave me, which was nice of him. So no hunting for me today. I have been scrubbing this crap off my house. It is coming off but you can see a "shadow" where I removed it from the steel siding. I hope I don't have to repaint the whole side of the house. These punks need a good ass kicking.

Sorry to hear that Dwight. You work hard, take care of the family and try to give them a good life then you have to put up with punks. Sometimes in this so called politically correct society you'd just once would like to put up the sign...."Trespassers will be shot...Survivers will be prosecuted". Hope they get caught.
 
Here is how you catch them. Start talking to some kids. Have them start texting their buddies. Soon it will be all over the town in which you live. If it's kids, someone will have told someone about their adventures who told someone else and so on. This is how I caught the kids who spray painted one of our cars. Worked like a dream.

That sucks. I hope you don't end up having to repaint. Its amazing how little respect some people have for other peoples property.

We also car the Goof-Off towels & spray in our patrol cars.

The best thing is to take pic's & get it washed off ASAP!!!

Don't wait for us because Criminal Mischief is a low priority call & can hold for hours.

Unless it's a gang tagging, we rarely are able to find the kids unless we actually catch them in the act.

We love the folks that argue with our dispatchers that they want the ofc's to see the eggs or grafitti as the clear coating/paint is dripping off their car or house.
 
Unfortunately the chemicals we are using to remove the spray paint are also taking off just enough of the paint on the aluminum siding to make it noticeable. Looks like I may have to replace the siding. What a bummer.
 
that stinks, i had a fuel tank ripped right off a piece of equipment, even after you fix stuff or put an insurance claim in you still feel violated.
