Question for Eric

In "Building Devlins Scaup" you said you liked the Black Brant but you wanted to add 2 feet to the original size. Sam Devlin was able to change the plans in order for you to do this. My question is, was this how the Scaup came to be??

Yes, that is what happened. I can't remember all the details though.

Yep, that's how it came to be. Sam designed it for my request for a bigger Black Brant. He would have like to have gone wider but I wanted the width such that the boat would fit between the water control structures at Big Lake WMA in Arkansas.
