readers rigs

Dose anyone know when the reader rigs portion of this site will be up and running ... I love looking at at all the classic barnegat bay sneakboxes and looking at at all the custom rigging people come up with to make their hunts successful and I love taking what I see and making it work on my boat with my own tweaks to make it my own. Thanks in advance for any input

Probably after my kids move out of the house and I retire. Thank you for the interest but I'm sorry to say I have no plans to work on the Reader's Rigs in the near future.

You could start a thread asking for pics of readers rigs/rigging. I'm sure a lot of guys would start posting pics. I like looking at everyone's boats, trailers, rigging, ect also.

If you do, make it a sticky at the top of the forum. And make sure to remind people to make new post for their rigs, don't respond to other responses, if you now what I mean...

The forum itself is the readers rigs... Get a new boat, post it up. Build a boat post it up. Get out with the boat and post it up. Take the long view and you don't need a readers rigs.

Tod are you on the same internet as the rest of us? We want it easy and we want it now! I don't need to use no stinkin' search function. :)

Seriously though a sticky for showing off ones boat might not be a bad idea. I'm not talking a detailed description and 20 photos but one or two photos with a basic description. Construction photos and more detail can be given in individual posts like always. It might even help narrow down searches when looking for ideas.

I'm guessing three years to get it to the point of only needing tweaking.

Chuck and I will discuss a sticky for reader's rigs to be on the top of the forum in plain view since the Reader's Rig section is way down the list for maintenance.

My concern is the pictures themselves, Standard Size (850 width)? Do guys know how to size their own pictures, maintaining the pixels while getting them under 100 KBits? And if hosted on this (DHBP) site, will they stay "forever" or will they roll off into never-never land and become red X s? Going back with the search function, so many of the photos have been lost.

Overall, Great idea!

I nominate Brown to organize and Farris to handle technical details.

I'll volunteer Chuck J for the job, he's is never busy and always looking for something to do with his time. (or so I hear)
