registering boat trailer in nj with bill of sale

I bought an old bbsb That I am rebuilding with boat builder Bill Simonson. It came with a good trailer but all i could get was a noterized bill of sale for the trailer will this be enough to register in the state of nj from what i read on the DMV website is conflicting info any help would be great thanks

i registered mine as homemade without any issues.

As long as the trailer is rated less than 5000lbs. thats all you need is a bill of sale no title needed. I just bought a new trailer for my 15' jon boat thats all they asked for just handed me the title from the dealer said they want a notorized bill of sale.
