rehab is fun

when it comes to old decoys. recieved this bird as a gift years ago. was made by a gentleman in SE Iowa to gun the Miss. with.. Original black cork and it was in bad shape 6 years ago. It fell apart one day while moving it. I went ahead and used the original bottom board and head. I tried to keep the paint somewhat original too. Was a fun project, now I have to wait until duck season to hunt it.

Looks good Tom. I "restored" 2 busted up decoys my dad had in his cabin for 40 years. It's good bring the old gunners back to life.

Now that is one great rehab project, Tom. Beautiful job. Make sure you post a pic of the bull can that you shoot when using this decoy.

Thanks fellas it made me happy to rehab it and yes I will gun it. I see cans about once every five years hunting this side of Missouri. Probably would see more if we targeted just divers.
