had a good time, despite bob suffering a dislocated shoulder on the first day---good numbers of patos and palomas--some perdiz--a lot of the good perdiz ground was under water and this may have contributed to the problem--looks as if wewill get the white geese back next year--some bureaucrato decided to close all due to alleged problems with a rusty headed goose---good to see that they muight be concerned--the little goose looks a LOT like the ashy---may be a phase like snows and blues, imo
Dani,Rocki dice hola a ti--elloo quiero que tu te escribas, eh!!! abrazos a tu y hitch desde los amigos a la gringa!
Soy cansado!
PS Hitch , Giovanni mi dice---Gracias a hitch por el cd!

Thanks George for delivering the CD,

Glad you had a good time and glad you made it home safe. I'm sure Giovanni liked the decoys too. He has quite a collection going.

I hope you took photos this time. I'm going to have to post some of mine again here soon.

And it's a good thing Claudio's talkin hugs instead of a left jab, because I know I'd go down with anything he could throw. Still, I'm sure he'd rather hug Dani :-)

It's good to hear they have water, and good to hear about the Geese. I'll E-mail you about next year :-)

Geroge, glad to hear you got back alright and had a good time down there. Sorry to hear about Bob dislocating his shoulder...how'd he do that? hope you took lots of pictures cuz I'm goin through Argentina withdrawls.

bathroom floor was wet after my shower--could have been some malbec, too! did manage to take some pics--will try to get some down to you all! Rocki tells me;you speak a pretty mean espanol!!! Hoipefully, the white geese will be reopened next time we go---the little rustys that they closed everything for are quite similar to the ashy's--betcha they are somehow related--be real hard to not tell whites from others!

Give me a dictionary and I can speak fairly decent espanol. My vocabulary is slowly expanding. My grammar, amazingly, is pretty decent, it's just that my vocabulary isn't great. Glad to hear that the white geese might be back in. How many geese did y'all see down there while you were out hunting the ducks? Bummer about the shoulder of Bob's. Wet floor and plenty of argentine wine......almost certainly a recipe for disaster. mmmmmmmmm damn fine wine

The goose question is an interesting one---we saw only four or five while there---from some of gionvaan's contacts to the shouth, the geese had not begun their northward migration---Man, i have been in bed for a bit! temp range over 100 for the past 24 hours---Gioovanni, Enrico and Franco were all down with something---Effie was in Tandil util wednesday with some sort of flu and temp--guess i have brought it north!
On a very positive note, if something DOES occur while in the area, the hospital at BJ gives pretty good care! I think my bud was only charged for the sling and shots--try that up this way!!!
We are planning on going later next year---some ducks you all saw were not around when we were hunting--guys did manage a pair of white faced whistlers and a black headed duck-closest thing to a real diver down there--
our buddies had their saturday flight cancelled at the last minute--#%@#$!$$ aerolinas Argentinas---they just got back today! price on bringing in a shotgun also has risen to 300 pesos! Ahh, well, still plenty of good fun and camaraderie.

.

I'm hoping next year to go down later in the season...late june/july timeframe. Sorry to hear that you caught something down below and hope you'll be gettin' better soon :)

I think I prefer to rent a shotgun from Giovanni. He's got a sweet little 12 ga franchi that I shot down there that I got damn good with, on ducks....them perdiz were givin' me a fit. Give me a 20 ga and I think those perdiz might have been in more trouble with me Lol. plus it saves me some playin' money for when I'm in Buenos Aires or what not. can't wait to go back!!!!

hey, there are some nice shops in benito juarez and tandil also---got a really nice llama wool serape for the boss --the folks who ran the place were as honest as any i have ever met!! "if you want that also, you can pay when you get back next year"---Man, that is a trusting man!!!!! super warm alpaca and llama duds--vests, ponchos, etc!! i may give the rental some thought--hate giving the govt there that money!

Hey George,

I sent you an E-mail about next year; did you get it. Sounds to me like Dani ought to think about going down there with your group next year. That way you guys can go shopping ;-)
