Making some new ringnecks for my rig for this season. These will take their first bath in Ontario, then Lake Erie, then, the Illinois River... Also, a hollow canvasback in there for Steve Sutton. Busy weekend...

Soon the teal will be here. God bless! Pat

Pat,

Sweet! How do you shape your cork...those bodies have nice flowing lines that I have trouble getting with the cork.

PG - I start of course by cutting on a bandsaw, an overhead cut, profile cut and finish with angled cuts with my table tilted. From there, I have a 16 inch Nicholson half round wood rasp I shape with. This rasp is about the equivalent of a horse shoe rasp, very course. Then I go to a cabinet half round rasp, less course. Then to a half round rat tail file then finally a bow sander for hand sanding. I finish the sanding on my Sandrite drum sander. It's the cat's meow...

Hope this helps and God bless! Pat

John - mortise the head into the shoulders of the body with plenty of glue and a 5 inch galvanized deck screw through the bottom of the cork body up into the head.

Hope this helps and God bless! Pat
