Rub rail replacement

I’m starting to plan out the refresh on my Broadbill. The rub rail is completely dried out and just breaks off if I try to move it. Where is the best place to get a replacement. A quick google search is turning up items they are WAY out of the price range ($300+ for 20’). So I’m assuming that I’m searching wrong

The part is 13/16” tall and the bottom lip is 1/4” IMG_1060.jpegIMG_1061.jpeg

Scott~

Do you need to replace the rubrail in-kind? I would be tempted to use another material and make new ones. I have used treated lumber (SYP), Philippine Mahogany (aka Lauan), Trex and PVC "lumber" for rubrails. Each provides more actual cushioning and protection that does metal. Corners may rewquire some creativity - but nothing a littlevfinesse can't solve.

BTW: The AA Blackjack in my shop has the deck ans hull joined at a flange - not the "shoebox" style of your vessel.

Hope this helps!

There are lots of options on Amazon. There is also Great Lakes Skipper and Taco marine parts you might look at.
