The 4th annual Rutger's Institute Decoy Float is on Saturday, August 4th 2012 starting at 3 pm!

It will take place at my house on Gun Lake by Wayland, MI - just PM me for directions.

We will be floating our hand-carved decoys, telling lies (uh, hunting stories), and grilling meat. This is a kid friendly venture but BYOB is accepted:) I'll have soda pop and water on hand as well as ice. This event will happen rain or shine because every waterfowler has rain gear.... If you guys have any questions or are planning on attending, please post up here for an RSVP so I can plan for the BBQ.

Yes, those are real ducks in the decoys - they are that good!

Rick, don't forget those pickled bluegills!

Chuck, you've got plenty of time to sew...this is your fair warning;)

See ya soon!!!

Dave,
It looks like I may have that day off so I should make it and have a decoy or two to float. It's always a good time to get the group together and see what everyone is up to.

Hi David,
It was very good to talk with you the other day. As I feared... this is the weekend Garrett and I have another comittment. Carry on, and float a block for us, we will be with you all in spirit!

Best,
Brian

I'd love to come but unfortunately thats the same day we have to bring our pigs to the fair so I don't know if we will get done early enough.

Well it going to be a hot decoy float today! The weatherman is calling for 95F and humidity...perfect weather for swimming with the decoys:)

Tonight's dinner will be grilled Lake Michigan salmon caught by our fellow carver, Jeff B. I recommend a cold, crisp beer for that one!

If you get lost, just give me a call (616) 890-1935 and we'll get you here.

See ya in 4 hours,

Dave
