Sad News

Just learned from Dylan Town that Jeff Churan recently passed away in his sleep. He was a good person and avid wildfowler. Years ago Steve Sutton, myself and two others were sora rail hunting in Missouri and spent the night in Jeff's hunting camp. Excellent meal, fine port and cigars and great talks. It added greatly to an outstanding hunt. I couldn't believe how many rails we saw in two days.

Thank you Worth. I just heard about the news as well. Jeff participated on this forum from time-to-time, but I bet few knew just how big an impact he had on duck hunting. He wasn't one to toot his own horn. Jeff was instrumental in habitat development in Missouri and is a legend to those that knew him. A true pillar of the waterfowling community. He will be missed but not forgotten.
