I bought a Sam Hunt built sneakbox probably 1940 to 1950's built. Originally a sail boat but was refurbished and a motor board was added. It was glassed over and the opening was expanded two rib to accommodate his dog. A box of "left over parts" came with it. In it was the original oarlocks. I am told the oars are original to the boat also.

I tried posting about three of them it didn't work. Chuck fixed the one that was half decent. I tried the photobucket thing and failed. Lol

Dave the boat is almost 11 feet long and about 52 inches wide

Very nice. There is a great video called "The Barnegat Tradition", and part of it is with Sam Hunt building a sneakbox, it is really classic.

Dave, you got a very good boat. I am the guy who purchased that boat from Sam Hunt and restored it . I actually cleaned it up once and hunted it for a few years, then restored it.I sold it to a couple of young guys near me and they must have decided to sell it. She rows great and disappears when you set it up against a bank. I shot a lot of birds up close with this rig. Best of luck.

Thanks for the information. You did a nice job on the refurb. Do you know when it was originally built? It is starting to show some wear again from spending some time out door and it looks like it was uncovered for a while. I hope to be able to get it in the garage soon. Right now its covered up. The boat was really well built. It seems very wide which means it should be stable.
