SCULL BOATS DOUBLES AND SINGLE SCULLS

On a post that I had read CBD16' SCULL LAYOUT BOAT!
This individual was asking about pertaining to this 16' scull/layout boat, whether or how 2 individual hunters could scull together in the same boat and if it was safe to do so.
Yes, sir to this individual as sculls are made as a Double or Single scull boat.
The sculler lays flat and handles the scull oar and his passenger lays across his left knee that is bent.
When they are close enough the sculler lets the individual know when they are close and slowly with his knee raises his head to see and have an idea of where the bird is that was sculled on.
The passenger takes everything from the center to the left and the sculler shoots everything to his right.
When both sit up the sculler is so close to being side by side but is a short distance behind the passenger sculler so there is no gun blase on the front rider and it works out very well.
If that sculler is worried about it than one must go out for a few practices runs as this scenario has been going on for literally decades.
I read where one individual indicated two hunting out of the same boat one in front of the other is a death wish.
I want to assure the individual writing the story that this tactic has been going on since the first doubles scull was invented and nothing at all to worry about.
Double and Single sculls are made for the individual who wants to be able to have another hunter with him.
Then there are those who love doing things on their own, so they invest in a single scull. But these individuals can also do the same with a double scull and just have the extra room for a trolling motor or whatever to get away from other individuals before they star their sculls.
I hope this helps in answering two men in a double scull boat shooting from the same scull boats.
I have been doing it this way for 60+years and no accidents that I know of sculling absolutely with a passenger in my boats. MikeE
