Sea Duck Taxidermy thread on another site

I saw that earlier and thought the same thing , a LITTLE over the top. As impressive as it is by its shear size you would think there would be more variations in the positions of the birds.
what about the pile of horns along the railing?Brought to mind the entrances to several ranches in Montana with deer horn "ARCHES" at the gate.

the birds flying in both directions, landing on the rocks that would be too narrow for them to do, and the clumping of species just makes it look like a wall of dead birds to me, (which of course is what it is)...

Someone needs to tell his taxidermist that birds don't fly with their wings that high, or low, above centerline of the body as well....those poses with the wings almost straight up are very inaccurate....

I do like that wall of antlers though....pretty impressive and for sure the rock wall is sweet....

Ho, Lee, Crap. I wonder if her needs any handcarved decoys? : ) Someone is a compulsive collector methinks.

Impressive, but I agree, the quality of the mounts is not very good. Scoter looking like puddlers, eider looking like penguin, etc...

Steve, I think those at the bottom are supposed to represent birds that hit the rock wall and dropped like stones, stunned.

Not sure that would fit in my trophy shoebox.

I followed up on that post and used your "LITTLE" comment...wanted to acknowledge that. It's exactly what I'd have said anyway.

Everything everybody said here....I agree with. It looks "weird" to me. If I were to ever visit that guys house I'd turn one of them so it's flying straight up and turn another one so it's flying straight down. Then I'd stick a penguin stuffed animal in there somewhere. Bet they wouldn't even notice.

Unfortunately you can't buy taste.
