Hey guys,

The time has come to try to sell dads boat, not an easy decision but really no where to keep it now that we are also going to get ready to list the house.

Anyway I am posting a few pictures of it, I have what I believe to be the plans as well, Ill add another picture with those after I pick them up this weekend.

What I'm wanting to know is how much you all think I should try to list it for/ or anyone close that may be interested in it. Really the sooner the better, I know its not really prime season to be looking to sell but..... well you know....

I think we will sell it a package deal including the boat, motor, and the trailer. I am almost certain I have a manual for the motor as well.

Thanks for all your help and input in advance!

Bridget

Have somebody store it and keep it for Blake.

Trip,

Let me say that you're not the first to have that thought. I know I heard it out of more than one person's mouth at Lee's house a couple of weeks ago.

Bridget,

If storage is an option, just say the word and it'll happen (I could probably get it in my dad's barn if a better place isn't located), but I'm guessing that since you posted this, that isn't an option for, I'll just say, more than lack of storage. I hope I'm not out of line.

To all,

We suggested to Bridget posting here when looking to sell off items. Lee had a tremendous amount of hunting gear and carving tools. Bridget is saving alot of stuff for Blake, but can't keep it all. Cheryl is down sizing, and we thought by posting items here (well, actually the classifieds) would allow a better customer base for the specialized equipment, as well as a little seller price protection to make sure they don't get ripped off (all bids to be posted rather than PM) I think at this point she is looking for further suggestions as to value and how to get started.

Please keep it for that boy. I am sure many here will help on the accomodations. The motor might not be worth the hassle of storing, but that boat would be a wonderful legacy to carry in your family.

That motor is the special forces OMC that Lee bought, he's removed the jet unit and it should be around the shop yet, I know it was a very low hrs. unit, with underwater exhast and believe he got it from a dealer in FL. There should be a manual around the shop also, (probally under the decoy pattern books that were on top of the shelves just inside the shop door). Ok, guys, Devlin gets around 5k for the boat alone, in all honesty the boat, trailer, and motor should be worth around 3500 to 4500 dollars, I know that the grassing rails need work and a little TLC. So there you have it, this is the BB2 and would make anyone on this board a fine craft. Just remembered, I believe Lee had put the teflon guide strips on the bunks of the trailer and it has LED lighting.

On a side note for Bridget, if you got any questions Paul's got my number.

Hey Chuck,

Thanks for the info, and Chuck Jagger thanks for the input too!

I appreciate it all, and will probably make a post over on the classifieds soon. For the boat and a TON of decoys....

We do need to go ahead and sell it, sad day for sure. But for those of you who knew dad personally, knew he had the plans in hand for his second Devlin sitting on his work bench, maybe Ill keep those and Blake and myself can attempt to build that in a few years once he gets a little older...
Helping hands appreciated for that one day too!

Anyway thanks again for all the post and pm!~

Bridget

Bridget,
I can understand selling the boat there is only so much stuff you can hold onto. I read your post as did many others before anyone replied. I could not bring myself to put a value on your dads boat. Im really glad someone gave to you real feedback good luck with the sale I hope it goes to someone that will hunt it lots.
