Wrapped up the first split for our south zone here in Jersey yesterday, balmy weather brought slower gunning for most guys I talk to but I still scratched out some birds in spite of the conditions. Our north zone first split was a bit better on my end as I was about to enjoy limits of teal the few times I got out. Now time for a short break before the coast opens up and we inch closer to the real start of duck season. It's raining cats and dogs at the house right now, hopefully this is the start of a pattern change for the second part of the season. I know the local swamps can sure use the rain!
