Some "old" Pintails

I took these photos in 2009 right before my camera decided it had reached the end of its life. I have my eye on some new gear but I took a break from the camera stuff for a bit because of a new pup and trying to get the hunting equipment I've needed. By this summer I will be back up with a good photo outfit. I love Pintails and thought this may help cure the off-season blues for some of you guys. Enjoy.

I have this next one matted and framed 16x20 in my house. My favorite to date.

Here's a few more...these from 2007. These were actually taken with a Nikon DSLR...the previous photos were with a Canon. I prefer Nikon for their metering system, color performance and quality of lenses and camera's. I prefer the PRICE of Canon lenses...which is why I switched. To achieve the same type of lenses with Nikon I would have needed to invest $5,000 easily. I still haven't decided if I want to switch back to Nikon though...but I do miss their cameras.

Pardon the watermark on this one...stupid website.

The photo of the pintail with the head twisted....

is he saying:

"Ma..darn that bed screwed up my neck"

or

"Geesh,, that was a wild night...some hang over this is"

or

"Darn must fallen asleep at the desk as I was posting on the duckboat site"

Nice photos

I'm curious as to why you have your name through the middle of the beautiful shot? There are some dandies there and I'll bet you can hardly wait to get back out with the camera once again.

Wonderful mate, Make sure you get your photo stuff going again you obviously have a gift. esp love the flying photos. Scotty

Al he puts his name in the middle of the picture so no one will us the picture and call it their own. kind of like a watermark. Great pictures! I do love pinnies they are a great looking bird.

Davey,
Those are great shots. Thanks for posting them.
This site is getting quite a crew of photographers.

Makes the work day easy to get over looking forward to next year.

Thanks for compliments everyone. I have plenty more pics to share from the last few years.

Those are spectacular! Its photos like those that almost convince me to grab my camera and leave the gun at home. ALMOST. You either have an incredible gift for taking pics or one bad-ass camera! (Leaning towards badass camera)
