This cock pheasant has the longest tail feathers I have ever seen in my lifetime. Sorry it is so dull---we finally got a nice rain when I took this shot.

Al,

Sure wish you retired folks could find something productive to do with all your spare time!!! hehehe :>)

Nice photos BTW

Al,
great shots.

What a cool thing to get the turkeys all bunched up. That humming bird is sure getting a good showing as well.

Salsa looks like a swim is about the only thing keeping her cool.

Oh sure, you are just trying to make us think "THEM!" isn't a true story about atomic ants in New Mexico.

Cool bunch of pictures again. You caught that flock of Willets pretty well.

Well, Dave, I continue to try. It is such a struggle to find things to do during the day. For example; when duck season arrives, since I have such a one track mind, all I do is go duck hunting every day and since we have a 105 day season it is really difficult to keep focused!

Great pictures Al! Salsa is a great looking dog.

Thank you very much, Paul. I'm glad you enjoyed those pictures. I must give Beverly all of the credit for Salsa. She is the one who picked her out of Pepper's litter. She also does most of the training. Salsa, I think, will make an excellent retriever. Time will tell.

Thanks, Bob. All four of the pups love to go to the lake. Bev and I take two at a time and of course they know what is going on. Hate to look at the two that have to stay behind.

wow wow and a WOW on the hummin bird photos!

Dave, I am glad that you liked the hummer shots. We enjoy having them around here and normally get to see them for 6 to 7 months out of the year.

Well, Tim, "THEM" ants had just finished eating enough "Trinitite" to take care of the bad guys. Who knows, maybe the fallout from the A bomb did come here. We are only 35 miles from the Trinity Site, however, being northwest has its advantages because the winds very seldom come out of the southeast.
As for the willets, I sure was wishing I had a different lens on my camera---not to be, however. They are cool birds.

Thanks for posting those Al, I enjoyed them, especially the Willets along with everyone else. Always enjoy looking at your images.

Thank you, Nick. Glad you liked them.

they were some of your best work keep them coming love looking at them

John, sure glad you enjoyed the shots. The hummers keep me busy during the summer but I have to admit that I can hardly wait for duck season to begin. Love the challenge of taking pics of the pups in action.

After looking through a few times the blackbird still catches my attention. One of those times when you rediscover something ordinary.

That is most interesting, Don. Same thing happened to me. My only wish would have been to have some light. It was raining when I took the shot. I asked Bev to lean back into her seat so I could shoot past her out the window of the truck.

Those are amazing shots, it looks like a wonderful day out.

Now to a practical matter. If you happen to pheasant hunt and find that cock in season I'll pay good money for him. I could do nothing but tie flies for the rest of my life and STILL leave material for my kids!!

Thanks, I enjoyed the pics.
