Heres a few pics of my 12ft roy high boat. This year i decided to give it a fresh paint job and do away with the grass rails and switch to netting with raffia grass. Enjoy!

Brian, how deep is the boat? Do you sit on the floor or on seats?

Im not sure how deep it is exactly,i would measure it for you but its covered up and squirled away in the garage. But i dont sit on the floor i made 2 wooden boxes about 14in square and 4in high with a regular swivel base and boat seat bolted to it,they work well and you can move them where ever you want.

Brian - That rig just melts right into all that grass. Cover where you hunt looks very dense and I imagine a good retriever would be great in that cover.

Why did you put the synthetic stuff on and then cover with the native grass instead of just using the native ?

What kind of netting is that ??..........looks ideal for this purpose.

I dont use the native grass at all anymore that pic is from last season. I switched to all raffia for this year to cut down on maintanence, the native grass just gets beat up from the dog and needs to be replaced all the time. As far as the net goes it is synthetic aviary netting, like is used for flight pens for game birds.

I bought it from roy who built my boat, But i bought some stuff very similar that i put over my duck pen,if you google "game bird netting" you should find some.

Don't forget to get to work on my pond box! That netting should work fine. Am I paying rent?

I am planning on getting started on them in a week or two,i think the netting will be fine also. As for the rent you will be getting the bill, its rackin up!!!!!!!!
