Sothern Wildlife Festival Adds Youth Event

Our show is around the corner. Looks like we will have another good one this year. This forum has given us great support over the years. http://www.sowildfestart.com/index.php. This link will give information regarding mail ins, entry forms and the different divisions that we have. This year we will be adding two youth gunning divisions. There will be a 12-17 year old class, and an 11 and under class as well. We will be giving rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd best of show as well as a few other prizes also. Looking forward to another great show. Please send me a pm if you need any other information regarding the show.

do you know the schedule for judging yet? My wife is due 10/30 with our first so i was trying to figure out if i could come down and what i should carve to be in and out of there quickly. it would probably have to be a friday night through saturday afternoon trip if that helps. maybe i can just con rick into carrying them down again if I can't make the trip :) but i'd sure like to visit with everyone

Seems like we usually do Singles and fancy birds on Saturday, with rigs on Sunday. Drive over, head back early, and talk nice to Rick.

Prize update. Cash prizes as usual for adult divisions. I will be donating a short reed goose call as one prize for one of the youth divisions, and Shawn Hollis will be donating a single or double reed call for the other division.
 
Next year, I'm pushing HARD to change the dates! Now that I'm a Maryland resident, the show occurs on my opening day. Jeez!
