Spring Beaver Trapping

Steve,
I haven't even thought about it yet. Our summers get so chock full of stuff, I'll have to see. Are you going to be there?

I tried some coyote trapping this past fall, and had bought three 650's and three KB's. I'd like to get into the canines more this coming fall , including some fox. Was wondering if I should add some smaller traps to the mix or just get more of the same.

Wow, thanks for that Pete. I'm definitely surprised at how may states do allow it. Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing or anything, more just because I always figured they weren't legal in very many places. Thanks for that information.
John...Yes, I'll be at the convention for the entire time. I'll have a booth set up with calls, etc. in the main building. Let me know if you plan to come...I'll likely be camped out somewhere, that's always a good time. The kids love it too...well, they did when they were younger anyway.
Those 650's are great coyote/cat traps, but way overkill for fox. If you have a lot of fox on the line I'd go with the 450's, maybe the 550's with an offset jaw if there's a good mix of coyotes and fox. I guess it really depends on what you want to target and what kind of populations of each species you encounter on your line.

Thanks Steve. Being that I'm new, I'm not sure what I will mainly get into. Populations of each seem to vary from spot to spot. This year I caught one coyote and one grey. Perhaps the 550's would be a good middle of the road.

If I make it to the convention I'll be sure to look you up.
