Our Brant on Long Island always headed North around mid-May (from my years back in the 20th century). No point getting to the High Arctic too soon. I do not know if the warming Arctic has shifted the timing of this grand species.
Just saw lots of Mallards and Blacks on a favorire beaver marsh - and a few Greenwings, Woodlies and Wigeon. Last week's Ringnecks may have moved on.
