The next project will probably be a mate for him. The pair will then be an "off to one side" addition to what we might set out on any given day during the season next year. Wood ducks down in our area are not especially prone to decoying to decoys that represent their species.... actually they tend to be a bird that will flop into any puddler spread whenever the spirit moves them.

Right now its sitting on the mantle. He saw the waters of Lake Superior, Pool 9 and local spots this past season!!!!

My wife cringes when I grab him and head towards the garage.....LOL!!!!

Thankyou again for doing that for her!!! We are expecting our first 'little one' in 5 or 6 weeks. You can bet your last dollar that decoy will handed down to him or her!!

Are you running any hunt tests this summer???? Cooper should be ready to run a few started tests late summer

Ya your right setter. Just look at those eyes they look almost real. Its not easy to carve a collar like that out of wood. hee hee
