Greetings all,

Fore score and a butt load of years ago four of your decoy fathers, and several real muthas sat down post ODCCA, put their feet up, took a long draw from several bottles, and set small pieces of duck flesh and bacon ablaze ( in Garveys case with 20 foot high flames). And thus the AFTERGLOW was born.......

With the UPGRADE to the VILLE, I say to you my Countrymen, and Womens that this great institution shall not perish from the face of the earth! Nay, it shall flourish and be rebourn as the Pheonix leapeth forth from the grand fire of alchol fueled flames.

Be it a bag o chips, a jar of garlic enhanced anything, a bottle of Walmarts finest, we shall gather and embibe, relax and revue, EAT DRINK AND BE MERRIE! We shall never surrender, never retreat! WE SHALL NOT GO QUIET INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT ! ! WE SHALL OVERCOME BROTHERS AND SISTERS WE SHALL AFTER GLOW ! ! ! ! !

Oh yes, the afterglow. Already got it planned and Anne is picking up the meatballs today and making sure we have enough libations. Looking forward to it as always.

You haven't met the Earl of Hopkinsberg have you? This is a very subdued version...I think he is suffering from decoy show withdrawl...as opposed to the subdued version we'll see early sunday morning, suffering from decoy show overdose...it's a very fine line
 
My flight doesn't return home to 75 and sunny until Monday noon, so I'm already there!! (As long as yous' don't get snowed in, or I don't get snowed out :-) Hitch

I assure you gentlemen, I have yet to lubricate the cells of what once was my brain! Comments came forth from a soul dry as a Tennesee Sunday. . . .

Hitch we have four wheel drive, chains, and if need be skis, we WILL be there no matter what, and a few select of our numbers will be seeking and audience with you for a Floridian advisory on sporting opportunities ! !

Hitch, Nope, missed NE Ohio. Going to be 35 on friday, 45 on saturday and 52 on sunday. See you guys soon.

Travel safe. And I will have a cigar or two for sunday after-glow.....Again, look forward to seeing everyone.
 
Bomber, don't forget the clips--susie is packed. Dave says he will try to do a better job chaperoning this year since you guys really dropped the ball. I am painting sprig right now and hope to be ready to grind the buffy on sarurday--Even packed a dropcloth, although i would just as soon work outside, if there was electric to hook to. Yes, i am bringing THE ROBE!
so many carvers, so few decoy makers
 
WE got missed by about ten miles nothing here but my little brother in N. Indiana is snowed under...
