Looks like hes having fun. If your going to hunt that dog you may want to make him sit stay till sent so that he,s not breaking on shot each time. May require putting him on a short lead till he,s good with staying. Just step on lead when your throwing.

I am going to run a buzz collar on him but i had to send it in for repairs. hopefully I'll get it back soon. I have only had him 2 months. For now, i JUST WANT HIM TO HAVE FUN AND enjoy getting out there.

Just bare in mind. Any bad habits you let him do now you,ll have to correct latter. Its a lot easier on the trainer to teach it right the first go a round.

I hear you.
My dog is not a world champion or a crazy gung ho fetcher. I am the only one that will ever hunt him. Most of it will be flushing and fetching work. Maybe some rabbits too. Walking and flushing and finding.
I've had good luck with 3 dogs before him that were really just mongrels. I just wanted a buddy to get out there and give it a go. I don't need the birds or have any desire for a competition.
All of my other dogs learned as we went. You may have seen a few of the yarns ovethe the last decade or so about Ol' Alex and Kaden... .I was just looking for more stuff like that. I am just an amateur. I do it because I love it, it isn't anything competitive.
