I am a daily reader of this site, but I really don't hunt too much. I enjoy duck hunting, but mostly love the stories that my son comes home with after a hunt with his buddies, or going and watching the true passion that my son (Wesley Bouchelle) has for this sport. This site is a great example of the people that really duck hunt, a close knit group that respects the resource and are a friendly bunch. My son and I often comment on how supportive everyone is on this site.Good hunting to all in 2014 and be safe out there. Charles Bouchelle

Mr. Bouchelle...Your son Wesley is a fine addition to this site and we are certainly glad to have him here. I don't know him all that well, but he seems like one of the few in the younger generation that actually has a clue what this sport and its traditions are all about. You have done well raising a fine young man and should be proud. Any young man that helps put together a new DU banquet should be applauded for his efforts. Great job Wesley...keep it up!

I had the pleasure to meet Wesley a couple of weeks ago when we were exchanging some Broadbill dekes. Seems like a fine young man you have there. I enjoy the posts he adds here and the excitement that he has for this sport. To be running back and forth to school, so that he can be home on weekends to hunt shows some serious determination to chasing ducks. On top of that, to get a college DU chapter up and running is a great accomplishment as well.

Thank you for your kind words. I have not been a member here very long, but there are many good human beings, and true Outdoors folks here that really KNOW their stuff.

I wish you and your son all the Best, and Wesley your commitment to DU is much appreciated - Well Done!
 
I'll also throw in my two cents as I met Wesley at a ramp this past week and from my brief talk with him I wish more young hunters had the same mindset as him!
 
The Computer games has total control over "some" of them.. We have a few that are around and once the word gets out I think,pray, that we will be pleasantly surprised.. Forums like this one is going to lead the way..

Charles, thank you for taking the time to write what you had on your mind. That meant a lot. First of all, I am glad you checked out this site to make sure it was what you deemed a positive influence on your son.
Secondly, just so you know, Wesley has been a great addition to duckboats.net. It is good to have him with us.
