Last week I broke away from work over a very long lunch hour and met up with Shawn to look at an ob motor. The motor wouldn't work for my boat but the trip wasn't a loss as Shawn took me to his shop where he's been getting serious about duck call making. In that short visit I was able to get numerous answers to questions I'd been pondering and some really neat tips. That's one of the things I love about seeing other folks shops - how they tackle a project and what innovative solutions they come up with. Shawn has invoked some pretty cool ideas into making his calls. Not only did Shawn give me the tour but he provived me with some supplies and a jig. To top it off he gave Thomas one of his competition calls (pic below). Thanks Shawn for having me over.
