It seems the hey day of these was about 2008-2011.

Anyone have "looking back on it" experience to share. My "intrigued meter" is peaking!

I built 3 of them, still have two and use 1 to this day. Also have a second hand Rickshaw that works well. Same top speed and all as the homebuilts but maybe a little more sturdy.

I have a site that walks you through everything you would want to know about building these. Also put together a nice tutorial if you have an interest.

More info than you probably care to know. http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/diy-marinizing/weed-eater-engine-conversion-1681.html

If you are ever near Woodbury stop by and take a look. Welcome to try out the Rickshaw.

I have one not quite done, hope to get it wet before the opener. Still will pack a paddle though, I'm just too familiar with whackers. ;-))

Thanks Mark!

If I can get a Friday afternoon scheduled over there I'll let know. Chanhassen is about as far as we could get from each other :-)

Looks like the MN contingent had it going on with three mini long tails. Wondering though, is it cool different like Prince, or just odd different like the 1980 election where we were the only state Reagan didn't carry LOL.

I think it is us Minnesotans being the only ones smart enough and talented enough to make our own. Could be biased here a little bit however.....
